Since the art of cinema is not only for adults each year in Pyrgos is organized a film festival for children and young people. The festival program includes films aimed at children and young people as well as films created by children that participate in the competition section of the festival and the best of them are rewarded and promoted in festivals abroad.
From 3 to December 10, 2016 will be held this year in Pyrgos and other cities of Western Greece the 16th European Meeting of Young People's Audiovisual Creation - CAMERA ZIZANIO (weed) alongside with the 19 ° Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Youth.
The coming 19th edition of Olympia International Film Festival will present over than 120 films (features, short fiction, short animation, documentaries), from all over the world, during six festival days, in competition section and numerous special events and activities( Tributes, Special screenings, cinema workshops, animation workshops,theatrical and musical performances ect.) .
