Pyrgos - Prophet Elias - Ancient Thira - Kamari or Perissa: After the path Imerovigli-Ia, this route is the second most famous in Santorini. It starts from the village of Pyrgos (at 365 meters) and ascends through the area that is included in Natura 2000, to the top of the mountain Prophet Elias (567 meters). You can ascend on either the asphalt or on the old path. After a rest and enjoyment of the view of the whole island, the trail continues to Ancient Thira, crossing Mesa Vouno (Mountain), where you can visit the archaeological site. Then you have two options: either to descend on the side of Kamari or Perissa. Both options are equal since both destinations are by the sea and swimming is the best way to end the hike. The route can also be done from Kamari or Perissa to Ancient Thira, but it will be more challenging since the path is all uphill.
