In the area of Kefalas, east of Chania, you will find one of the most distinguished wineries of Crete.
The natural beauty of the wider region of Alikampos as well as the rocky underground that offers natural cellars for storage and aging of the wine and the unique microclimate created by the White Mountains, were catalytic factors for selecting the particular location of the winery and vineyards.
Visiting Dourakis winery you can enjoy a tour around the herb garden, the ancient wine press, the cellars and the production facilities. There is also a folklore museum and an art gallery for you to visit before proceeding to your winetasting experience!
During the winetasting you will have the chance to enjoy some of their award-winning wines ideally with some delicacies and local cheese.
The facilities are open to the public 11.00-18.00 daily except Sundays. Guided tours and wine tasting are available by appointment.
