The findings of the archeological excavations that are dated from the Old Christianity period till the Ottoman Empire are displayed in a building that once used to be the church of San Salvatore. Its exhibits include epitaphs, icons, murals, mosaics, pottery and other items that present the artistic activity in Chania during the Byzantine and Post-Byzantine times.
