It is a very interesting museum worth visiting as the rooms of the two-story neoclassic building (1931) on the central square of Messolonghi will give you the chance to meet the warriors of the Greek Revolution and see some tragic scenes of the heroic Exodus of Messolonghi.
The collection of the museum includes authentic paintings and copies of scenes of the Exodus, paintings of allied and Greek generals, Friedel’s sketches dating back to 1837, guns dating back to 1826, coins and medals, objects and scripts of Lord Byron himself.
