One of the most characteristic symbols of Chora is the windmills in the square of the Mills. There you will  find two mills that have been renovated and are now an ornament for the village, as well as remnants of others.
 

Like the rest of Cyclades same in Serifos, it gets really windy, especially during the summer when the north winds called meltemia are blowing. However the most accessible beaches to practice your favorite sports are beaches Livadi and Livadakia.

The beach is located in the northeastern part of the island in the bay of Platis Gialos and the homonymous coastal settlement. A beach with a mix of pebbles and sand, shade, that is however exposed to northerly winds.

One of the classic routes which has been given the label 'A'. Passes through the major points of interest such as the Windmills of Chora,where starts the paved path , the castle, churches and reaches, after 1 hour, Livadi.

In Serifos there are several places you can dive, with varying degrees of difficulty. The more experienced can enjoy a dive in Kalogeros, the shipwreck of the island.

If you are exploring the Cyclades by boat it is worth adding Serifos to your plan. Besides the beauty of the island, Serifos has a marina and can serve as a refueling point. The close proximity of the surrounding Cyclades favors visiting other islands such as Sifnos, Kythnos, Milos, Kimolos, Paros-Antiparos.

The highest point of the island reaches 587 meters and is the top of Troulos. There is a path leading there and gives the opportunity to enjoy the view of Serifos as well as the surrounding islands.

Following the marking '1 ', from Kentarcho you will walk a paved path. On the way you come across spots with magnificent views of the Aegean Sea and the island Vous, and places with xerolithies, vineyards and churches through the eastern part of Serifos. (1 hour and 30 min approx)

In 950 AD was built in Serifos the first church, is the Byzantine church known as Xylopanagia, dedicated to Virgin Mary. It is located in the village, which is named after the temple. Inside the church of cruciform basilica architecture there are murals of the 14th and 17th century.

White little houses with blue doors and windows pop up around the only port of Serifos and below the Chora, forming its seaport. At the south cove of Livadi there are four sandy beaches, which gather many people. The beaches of Avlomonas, Livadi, and Livadakia, which are organized, and more south the beach Karavi, which owes its name to the two shipwrecks located there.

The trail marked with '3 'is characterized by signs of the mining activity in the area, so you may come across lodges and rails. The trail ends at Koutalas, where you can cool off in the beautiful beach after hiking. (About 1 hour)

This settlement is built amphitheatrically, at the northwestern slopes of Serifos. It is worth wandering in the alleys and feeling the island atmosphere that emerges from the neat courtyards, the traditional small houses, and the beautiful pigeonholes. The trail marked with '4 'will lead you to the mountainous inland of Serifos. On the way you will see churches, a source in the creek Varsamos and you will end up at the picturesque village of Panagia. Following this trail you can, with a brief detour to reach the highest point of the island, the top of Troulo.
 

In the southern part of  Serifos at Cape Spathi, 65 meters above the sea, stands the stone-built lighthouse, which is guiding with its light the ships since 1901.

The aqueduct or Mesa Pigadi, as it is known, provided Kato Chora with water. In its basins women once used to wash their clothes. The elegance of the island emerges even at the Aqueduct, since its beautiful arches stand out.

This trail is marked with '6 'and starts from the desolated village of Pyrgos, whose exploration is of particular interest. On the way you come across chapels, the abandoned settlement of Potamia, old mines galena and you will end up in Sykamia.
