It is the vigilant guard, the jewel of the area, that harkens back to the time when the Sommaripas built it as a fortified building (15th century), for the protection of the port where commercial ships anchored. The observatory of the Venetian castle is half-sunk; however, the building remains a charming sight that fits well with the blue of the sea and the shops of the port, leading you to expect to see the embrasures.
