This is a 16th-century monastery with a long history. According to the legend, Agios Ioannis miraculously saved the inhabitants from pirate attacks as well as from a shell that hadn’t exploded during the Second World War. Today you can see the shell as well as the pirate's weapon. On September 25 there is a celebration and fair in the name of the Saint.
