More than just a vineyard since Domaine Kokotou includes Organic olive grove, beehives, poultry farm, and vegetable gardens as well as infrastructure for hosting receptions. All creations of the family of George and Anna Kokotou who back in the 1970s decided to settle in Stamata, in the hills north of Athens.
Significant extent of the property is occupied by the vineyard. The soil which is poor in organic matter but rich in trace elements, the altitude of 450 metres and the well-drained slopes of the vineyards ensure the production of top quality grapes, which ripen fully giving a good concentration of fruit, sugars, flavour and aromas. In the 70 acres of the vineyard are cultivated the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay, aiming to produce high quality wines. The vineyards are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, with the utmost respect for the environment and the consumer.
Ktima Kokotou hosts wedding receptions, conferences, days of wine tasting and many cultural events. Particularly interesting for all ages are also the guided tours where you may participate in the activities of the estate, enjoying as well unique gastronomic experiences.
